Accountant II

Nonin Medical Inc. Plymouth, MN Accounting

The Accountant II will be responsible for a variety of accounting, analysis and reporting tasks. There will be an emphasis on account reconciliation, fixed asset accounting, bank reconciliation, variance analysis, and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
Analyze and reconcile ledgers, reports, bank statements, and financial records
Fixed Asset accounting, tracking, depreciation and reporting
Prepare and post general ledger adjustments and month-end closing journal entries
Daily Bank Reconciliation and cash balance reporting
Prepare and maintain account analysis on an ongoing basis and annual audit work papers
Support departments with budget tracking, expense research, and monthly reporting
Generate and analyze product gross margin accounting and support variance analysis
Support departmental and company special projects as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience reconciling the General Ledger to various source records
Strong accounting aptitude and problem solving skills
Computer proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Contributes in a positive way to group decision making and teamwork
Ability to clearly communicate about accounting issues verbally and in writing
Ability to work as a cooperative team player with managers, supervisors, co-workers, and others while maintaining confidentiality


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with fixed asset accounting systems
Exposure to cost accounting in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:
Stand, sit, walk for a minimum of 8 hours
Ability to work with a computer.
