Compliance Analyst I

In this role, you will perform compliance monitoring and testing to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations. Document results of reviews including apparent violations of laws, regulations, and exceptions to policy. Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and review programs.

Major Areas of Accountability
  • Perform compliance exams adhering to an established schedule. Participate in testing, identifying mitigating controls, participating in exit meetings, writing reports and maintaining work papers phases of compliance exam processes.
  • Monitor all open compliance findings until satisfactorily resolved. Participate in formal follow-up to determine adequacy and effectiveness of actions.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance monitoring programs and periodic testing procedures, including work papers and report formats.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legislative developments, State and Federal laws and regulations and policies impacting monitoring and testing programs, as well as regulatory guidance and industry best practices related to consumer compliance.
Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

Education Required:
  • Two year college degree or equivalent job related experience.

Preferred:
  • Four year college degree.

Work Experience/Skills:

Required:
  • 2 years of financial institution experience (e.g., Lending, Branch Banking, Corporate Operations, Financial Crimes or Fraud).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with employees and management.
  • Computer aptitude with emphasis on Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail oriented and good analytical skills.
  • Requires flexibility for limited travel (1-2 weeks per year).
