Accountant-General Accounting

Under the direct supervision of the General Accounting Supervisor, ensures that ongoing general accounting transactions are performed in an accurate, timely manner complying with U.S. GAAP and oil and gas accounting principles as well as SOX controls.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly journal entries and related analysis
• Preparation of monthly account reconciliations on timely basis
• Preparation of monthly schedules for meetings with Operations Department
• Ensure SOX control compliance for all assigned areas
• Assist supervisor with other special projects as necessary

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting or equivalent

• Some accounting experience preferred
• 0-2 years of general or operational accounting
• General understanding of accounting concepts and rules
• Detail oriented
• Analytical skills
• Excel proficient
• Hyperion/MRS experience desired
• Enertia experience preferred, not required
