Web Developer – Intern

Primary Functions:

Developing and testing web pages for various websites and web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop web page templates , libraries and interactive web components for GIA
• Perform robust testing on multiple web assets.
• Assist in resolving existing issues reported in JIRA.
• Research new programing techniques, libraries and plugins.
• Create test cases and test plans for desktop browsers and mobile devices.
• Work on new web enhancements for multiple websites.
• Practice test driven development
• Participate in web meetings and communicate issues and progress.
• Use third party tools to test and verify compliance.
• Adhere to IT policies, procedures and current software development practices.
• Ability to perform several tasks within one day, to prioritize effectively, meets deadlines and pay attention to details

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Undergraduate student with minimum one year in Computer Science or related field.
• Basic knowledge in Java programming language.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating system.

• Basic understanding of CMS systems (WordPress and Oracle Web Center Sites – Preferred )
• Basic knowledge in web servers Apache web server.
• Experience in JSP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, JQUERY, XML
• Ability to work independently, use good judgment and exercise discretion on matters of importance to the general business operations of GIA.
• Knowledge in AWS, PL/SQL and T-SQL, Weblogic and Tomcat is a plus.
