The Digital Products team is transforming how people purchase automotive and energy products. Our team is composed of product managers, business analysts, UX designers, and full stack software engineers, working together to create elegant solutions to complex problems. Tesla’s digital portfolio is more than a channel, combining websites, mobile apps, field technology and retail store experiences into seamless customer experiences. We are looking for a talented front-end Web Developer to be a dedicated resource for our expanding Content Management team. In this fast-paced role you’ll be using and developing your exceptional technical skills to help us to manage content across Tesla’s increasing number of global websites, as well as creating outstanding web experiences through the projects you deliver for stakeholders across the business.

This role will be based in our Fremont office in California and will suit someone with at least one year of experience in a similar role, with the mindset and attitude to learn and develop new skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build front-end components using HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Build new features which will create an extraordinary web experience
• Drive consistent end-to-end user experience of a solution
• Design and implement user interface components with right consideration for usability, security, performance and customizability
• Interpret business requirements into effective UI
• Work collaboratively with engineering, content management, product management and UX team members
• Use your detail-oriented eye to create pixel perfect solutions.
• Find elegant solutions to complex problems and overcome challenges.
• Willingness to support the content management team across APAC, Europe and NA with CMS related updates as required

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. or higher studies in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ years experience with standards-compliant HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript in consumer-facing web applications
• Experience building responsive, modular CSS with SASS that plays well across multiple browsers
• Interest and/or experience with emerging front-end technologies such as React, Vue, Angular
• Experience writing simple and elegant code with attention to detail, scalability and performance
• Experience building fluid/responsive layouts for web and mobile
• Understanding of usability concepts
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with modern Agile development methodologies.
