Job Description:

We are currently expanding our engineering team to support a world-wide recognized organization responsible for law enforcement and intelligence efforts.

In this role, you will:

• Use your Citrix and Virtualization Engineering abilities to assist in planning, designing, and implementing the customer’s remote access infrastructure. Build, manage, and troubleshoot multiple large Citrix farms. Develop and maintain Citrix-related standards, policies and procedures.
• Provide senior level systems engineering in the areas of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), VMware and / or Microsoft server technologies.
• Assist in the oversight of the overall project plan, design, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise level XenDesktop and XenApp Citrix farms.
• Document new systems and procedures, and ensure that all engineering artifacts are maintained.
• Conduct ongoing VDI technology assessments, research new VDI related products and features, and develop cost effective recommendations and plans for optimizing the VDI environment.
• Advise the government on new requirements, technology, capability, and related technical issues.
• Deliver requirements analysis to include an analysis of alternatives for each project requested.
• Develop and maintain documentation to include, but not limited to, system configuration, system deployment, system administration, and service desk support documents for all applications and solutions.
• Provide Tier 4 support to resolve complex technical operational problems.

Required Skills:

• 7 years experience, 2+ years experience with Citrix products including XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, NetScaler
• Engineering experience with solution development and product/technology evaluation
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve Tier IV issues
• Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Background in writing documentation, presentations and policy
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills are a must.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in engineering lifecycle, including documentation and procedures, formal testing methodologies, implementation strategies, and monitoring techniques.
• VMware ESX 4.x/5.x or other Hypervisor experience – Highly Desired.
• Experience deploying both Linux and Windows embedded thin clients a plus.
• Experience developing engineering pilots
• Experience with enterprise-sized Citrix environments
• Experience with Microsoft Server 2008r2 and / or 2012
• Experience providing Tier IV support

Certifications:

• Citrix, Microsoft and / or VMware certifications highly desired
