Transition Services Conversion Lead

What is the opportunity?

As a Conversion Lead in Transition Services with RBC Wealth Management, you will be the first point of contact with new firms and will be responsible for the overall onboarding project. The Conversion Lead will interpret, understand and document client business requirements and communicate the needs internally while managing the project scope, and timeline. The Conversion Lead will also direct and manage resources required to complete work outlined in the project plan and complete the plan on time within the framework of the implementation process. For exiting firms, the Conversion Lead will be responsible for managing the project scope and timeline as well. The Conversion Lead must be able to oversee multiple projects as needed.

What will you do?

Act as project lead on Operations conversions activities for assigned retail or correspondent conversions to ensure completion in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

Act as relationship manager with new correspondent firms to ensure ongoing coordination, service, and communication are provided on conversions activities.

Hold weekly status update meetings with the client and representatives from stakeholder groups and provide weekly meeting agendas and minutes.

Interpret and understand client’s business and project requirements and using a solution based approach and leverage process change to address client challenges.

Communicate effectively with the client and internal teams regarding roadblocks, risk assessments and high level milestone highlights.

Manage the project timeframe with overall accountability, providing regular updates/reporting to project stakeholders and the client. Monitor project quality, and ensure project remains on schedule and within scope. Strive to continuously improve project management policies, procedures and best practices.

Perform detailed quality checks on documents, manage correction of errors and confirm project specific compliance of client guidelines.

Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations based on lessons learned and identify both successful and unsuccessful project elements and establish best practices for project execution.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 to 4 years of industry experience in financial services.

Series 99 or 7 Licensed or ability to obtain within 120 days of starting position.

Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.

Exhibits resourcefulness, an analytical approach to problem solving, strategic thinking, and proactively offers solutions

Well-organized and detail oriented with the ability to set goals and successfully achieve them on schedule

Nice-to-have

Experience in financial services, information systems, customer service, finance or accounting.

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
