Tour Guide

Us:

We’re a start-up tour company in a start-up industry unique to a select few parts of the country. We attract guests from around the world who are very interested in our rather niche market. We’re so good at what we do we are literally the first, the last and the only tour company specializing in this market currently operating in Seattle. We attribute this to the level of excellence, specificity and passion we bring to this corner of the tour industry.

You:

As a tour guide, your primary responsibility is to inform, entertain and persuade our guests. Successful guides are great at introducing tourists to Seattle’s unique and popular attractions and other areas of cultural interest in a fun engaging way. Your biggest asset is your enthusiasm, along with you passion for the esoteric, all things random and the utterly fascinating. The tour we provide is highly educational and it’s up to you to make the vast amount of information that we impart fun and exciting.

The best candidate for this position is someone who can learn, memorize and impart a vast amount of information in a short period of time in an engaging, fun and easily digestible way.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting tours, keeping current on all local festivals and sporting events in the area and offering commentary and interesting bits of information, which will allow visitors to fully experience and enjoy Seattle’s social, cultural and historical highlights.

This is a seasonal part-time position ideal for freelancers, ride sharing drivers and college students.

Requirements:

  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Clean driving record
  • Drug Free: We have a zero tolerance policy complete with random testing (even weed…we’re bummed about it too)

  • 2 years experience preferred
  • Extremely punctual (on time is late…that kind of punctual)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organized and eloquent
  • High School Diploma or GED

Duties:

  • Cultural Ambassador: make guests feel welcome, answer any and all questions they may have, be knowledgeable about not only our company but the city and Pacific Northwest Region as well.
  • Interior vehicle maintenance: The tour van is your mobile office, it must be kept tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Track inventory – swag bags, water, snacks etc…
  • Administrative tasks: track driver log book, participant waivers, premium item inventory
