Job Responsibility:

1. Analyze large business applications and produce architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to address Client’s problems and achieve business objectives.

2. Produce application analysis documentation high level, conceptual design for the project by liaising with the enterprise architecture, application teams.

3. Create proposals for enterprise level solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms. Articulate the proposals and manage client stakeholders.

4. Proposes changes in Business architecture and application process as they relate to the architecture and design principles. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions to solve business problems.

5. Leads analysis and design efforts in support of technology integration. Investigates, implements, and transitions new design processes.

6. Liaise with the requirements teams (Business analysts) to create requirement documents (BRD) based on the application analysis documentation

7. Liaise with the project application development teams and implement/develop the proposed solution design.

8. Evaluate, Manage and co-ordinate with multiple 3rd party vendors (Infosys partners) and stakeholders as and when required in the proposals.

Location for this position is Eagan, MN. This position may require travel and or relocation.

Qualifications

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 10 years of experience with Information Technology

Technical requirements:


At least 10 years of experience working on IBMi, CA2E (Synon), Cobol 400, RPG (all formats), SQL Concepts, MQ & batches, DB400 and Stored Procs/functions.


Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience, including application analysis, solution design and development.


Experience with rules extraction for re-engineering of existing IBMi application and migrate into modern web technologies like Java.


Knowledge of Legacy modernization concepts and various tools available.


Good understanding of integrating IBMi application with web applications like Java, using SOAP and REST APIs etc.


Experience with Database migration from DB400 to other databases like DB2, Oracle, No SQL and knowledge of concepts of DDS, DDL and Stored Procedure/functions


Knowledge of any batch subsystems, batch scheduler (like ROBOT).


Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment


Ability to work and coordinate with members offshore.


Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment


Good Communication and Analytical skills


Minimum 5 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
