It is the primary responsibility of the Talent Acquisition Representative is to assist the Talent Acquisition team to implement a results driven strategy consistent with the strategic vision of the MGM Resorts International Corporate talent acquisition department. Job functions include participating in company recruitment programs designed to ensure an ongoing diverse applicant pool rich in experience and skill as well as providing all other HR supporting services. This position executes the company’s core service standards, brand attributes, and sustainability initiatives. All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and property policies, practices, and procedures.

Ensure prompt follow-up and follow-through.

Ensure timely completion of transactional requests and special projects.

Meet/exceed established performance, appearance and services standards.

Establish and maintain confidential files and records.

Arrange and schedule meetings.

Prepare letters, reports, agendas, reformatted job descriptions and social media postings.

Ensure open communication between all staff members and hiring managers.

Maintain established operational and service standards.

Serve as an ambassador for the department, property and company.

Maintain a solid understanding/knowledge of the MGM Resorts Culture.

Assists the Talent Acquisition Specialists in the coordination and planning of recruitment fairs.

Represents the Talent Acquisition department, as needed at community events and recruitment venues.

Ensures that all equipment, including computers, copiers, and other office equipment; including travel banners and collateral are in working order during the hours of operation and in working condition for events. Reports all malfunctions or system problems immediately.

Researches and coordinates special projects as assigned.

Maintain successful relationships with colleges, community partners, search firms, temporary staffing agencies, professional associations, and other organizations that provide recruitment value.

Review, sort, and file resumes, match resumes acquired with potential positions for which a candidate may qualify.

Assist in developing and managing the effectiveness of advertising campaigns that highlights MGM Resorts International as an employer of choice offering exciting long-term career opportunities to achieve recruitment objectives.

Post and source career opportunities on various social media job boards.

Assist and maintain ATS database for daily monitoring and necessary functions such as: A-C’s, Deleting “draft” requisitions from “Drafts” subtab, closing out requisitions which did not “auto-close” in CTS, complete CTS email of requisition closure/cancellation, reset Hiring Manager/Candidate passwords, adding Hiring Managers to master requisitions groups, updating hierarchy, creating Prescreening Questions, assist with requisition build-outs and reformatting job descriptions in requisitions, etc.

Answer Talent Acquisition and Hiring Manager phone line to respond to recruitment business needs.

Researching job descriptions and emailing job descriptions to property/departments as requested (i.e., Workers’ Comp cases; property/department creating new position, etc).

Reviewing emails in the “Employment” Outlook inbox and sending out general response emails as it relates to applying to our company for a position.

Serve as a knowledge source for all hotel/gaming job functions and qualifications.

Conduct weekly requisition hiring activity audits to ensure complete & timely documentation.

Record, document, format and submit weekly operational reports and analysis Research best practices for College Recruitment Programs among other top Fortune 500 companies.

Design marketing collateral consistent with a College Program Branding Strategy.

Prepare and draft e-mails, letters, newsletters, reports, meetings and agendas.

Post job descriptions to online social media channels on behalf of MGM Resorts International College Programs.

Assist Hiring Managers with requisition status updates, applicant repositioning and other common requests.

Perform other job related duties as requested.

Required:
At least 1 year of previous customer/guest service experience.

At least 6 months previous administrative experience; preferably in Human Resources or related field.

Ability to be motivated and be enthusiastic when being a liaison for MGM Resorts International.

Highly ethical and discreet, with ability to maintain confidentiality.

Successfully and professionally react to unplanned developments, ability to handle multiple projects/tasks effectively.

Strong time management, judgment, meticulous attention to detail and problem solving skills.

Be comfortable in a large and fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Proven ability to successfully match applicants within a wide range of job classifications.

Strong project management skills with excellent follow-up and follow-through.

Provide exceptional customer/guest service and telephone etiquette in alignment with MGM Resorts International standards.

Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Work varied shifts; including weekends and holidays.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:
Associates degree and/or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

At least 6 months College Relations/Recruitment, Public Relations, Communications, and/or Human Resources experience.

At least 1 year in the Hotel/Casino Hospitality industry and or similar related field.

Familiarity with Recruitment and HR software programs (i.e., ATS, CTS, Kronos, Workday, etc).

Bachelor Degree in related field (Human Resources, Hospitality/Tourism).

Continuing Human Resources education credit.

Bilingual.

Familiarity with Recruitment and HR software programs (i.e., ATS, CTS, Kronos, Workday, etc).

Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws.

Strong interviewing and evaluating skills.

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
