PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Senior Vice President Chief Digital Officer will be responsible for the oversight of MGM Resorts International’s digital strategy for the company as a whole and providing overall leadership in the establishment of digital excellence across the company to maximize creative opportunities for guest acquisition, retention and profitability. This executive will develop and execute the enterprise-wide digital strategy.

All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures as well as within the framework and intent of the Mission Statement.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Develop an end to end digital mission statement, strategy and program roadmap for the organization as a whole.
  • Formulate a digital strategy to unlock business value for customers and solve large scale customer experience pain points that span our operations; collaborate with executives to deliver optimal solutions focusing on guest experiences.
  • Change management leader to drive the pace of digital transformation across the organization.
  • Create and connect a digital roadmap to the customer experience and priorities to support the MGM Resorts strategic plan.
  • Identify innovative opportunities inside and outside of the organization, assess them rapidly, and advocate the most intriguing/relevant ideas to the senior leadership and various stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for MGM to grow through adoption of new technologies/ideas or through the execution of strategic partnerships. Cultivate and present diligent business cases, including high-level strategies and financials, for the most promising opportunities.
  • Rely on data to make sound recommendations and decisions for incorporating digital approaches into existing business; provide Senior level updates on program status and risks.
  • Support technology innovation emphasizing speed and agility to generate new ideas and translate them into actionable digital products, services and solutions across the enterprise.
  • Collect, synthesize and share insights and recommendations from MGM Resorts International key stakeholders’ feedback to ensure continuous improvement of creative services functions.
  • Act as a strategic partner to break down silos and create new ways of collaborating across functional areas in operations, IT and Marketing.
  • Maintain focus and commitment to executing the digital strategy for the long term success of the company.
  • Establish and maintain networks and relationships with digital industry experts in order to stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Engage with various stakeholders within and outside of MGM Resorts to develop new capabilities/guest experiences.
  • Provide insight and thought leadership in the travel, tourism, and hospitality vertical to develop a strategic roadmap for innovation that supports MGM Resorts and broader business.
  • Discover, monitor, and lead discussions on the emerging digital trends, emerging disruption, and business models. Assess the feasibility of incorporating such technology to further enhance and promote MGM Resorts.
  • Advise and make recommendations to senior executives on critical issues
  • Develop executive-level presentations, program updates, set targets, timelines; interact with senior executive leadership, including executive sponsors to ensure success of opportunities.
  • Oversee Human Resources responsibilities for the specifically assigned areas; create and maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 15 plus years of progressive management experience

15+ years of business experience ideally in business management, IT management or marketing
Experience in digitally advanced enterprises such as retail, airline or hospitality
Progressive leadership experience in leading cross functional teams and enterprise programs
Experience in innovating business models through the adaption of digital tools
PREFERRED :
Master’s/Advanced Degree preferred
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
