We are seeking a highly talented Sr. Systems Administrator to support our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain company software repositories and Linux image
  • Administer databases (e.g., postGIS, MongoDB) of 1-100s of TBs of data
  • Maintain 3rd party libraries (e.g., Boost, OpenCV, CUDA) across multiple configurations

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience administrating Linux/Unix systems on heterogeneous system of servers and personal computers
  • Deep knowledge of Linux-supported hardware
  • Experience configuring source control (Git), CI, and static analysis tools
  • Experience with networking, including security best practices
  • Strong communication skills

Advanced Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of network systems and Linux networking support (routing tables, iptables, DNS, VPN, broadcast and multicast package forwarding and tunneling)
  • System security: SSL certificates, secure VPN, maintaining keys and certificates for system startup and database management and access
  • System monitoring tools: nagios, cacti, uptime
  • Automatic startup scripting: systemd, upstart
  • Experience creating and maintaining secure backbone for databases and system monitoring web front-ends and web-based applications
  • Experience creating and maintaining software package repositories (e.g., AUR in Arch, PPA in Ubuntu)
  • Experience with Linux kernel modules and Linux DKMS system
