Sr. Director Business Analytics

The purpose of the Commercial Business Analytics team is to act as the corporate Commercial lead for planning, forecasting, target setting, reporting, performance and ongoing business routines, as well as stewardship of central and field analytics and insight generation. In this role, you will be accountable for creating value by leading these processes and driving their transparency and coordination across corporate functions and CBUs. In addition, a pivotal responsibility will be to devise and develop standardized approaches to analytics, customer engagement and performance review among field sales/CBU-based analytics resources. Finally, the Commercial Analytics Director is considered an important leadership resource for both the Bacardi Commercial Leadership Team and overall hub executive team.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

Drive results & excellence in execution

Ownership of commercial planning, forecasting and target-setting processes

Ownership/oversight of corporate commercial performance process and communications

Leadership and standardization of key Commercial routines (Performance Reviews, Risk/Opportunity Reviews, Distributor QBRs, S&OP input, forecasting, etc.)

Leadership in development of standardized commercial reporting and performance communications; visibility and connectivity to Bacardi financial reporting processes

Leadership in development of standardized conventional tools and templates for CBU implementation (e.g., distribution/high NSV/innovation trackers)

Guidance and oversight of field Analytics efforts (thought partnership around local ad hoc analysis/insight generation)

National/corporate analysis and insight generation from key content (e.g., ATI, Picture of Success) to feed into Commercial Insights, Customer Marketing, NRS/NOP, CBUs, etc.

Collaboration with CBUs, Customer Marketing, Operations and Finance colleagues to manage in-year gap planning and one-off initiatives.

Develop talent and capability

Implement learning and development plans for your team based on Commercial Excellence approach

Ensure that your team has resources needed to deliver desired results

Create a winning team

Align all employees behind the targets and create a passion for winning in the company

Performance: Achieve Net Sales Value (NSV) growth targets vs. budget and NSV per case target ahead of plan

Strategy: Full participation in the development, delivery, and ownership of the annual planning, forecasting and target-setting processes from a commercial perspective

Critical experiences for success

To be successful in this role you will have/be:
Ability to influence across all areas and levels of the organization, to set strategy and direction related to business plans and targets.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, continuously changing and often ambiguous environment.

Ability to clearly develop & articulate business requirements and translate into implications for stakeholders (e.g., CBU Field Sales organizations)

Highly developed financial, commercial and strategic analytical skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact and drive efficient communication with multiple layers of the Bacardi organization.

Ability to lead, manage and develop team members.

The following experiences are preferred:
8-10+ years of experience in the Spirits or broader beverage alcohol industry

Experience managing others in both direct and matrix capacities

Significant experience and/or exposure to Commercial or field sales environments and ways of working

Significant experience with annual planning, forecasting and reporting tools and processes

Experience in sophisticated analytics role or complex business environments

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting, preference for equivalent of Masters of Business Administration.
