Position Summary

Position is responsible for global travel product negotiations and relationship management of all vendor agreements for Corporate and Guest Travel service. This position is the subject matter expert in worldwide travel logistics and best practices. Responsible to work with all internal stake holders including Sales and Revenue for the building, loading and maintaining of vacation packages and promotional initiatives. This position is responsible for a Gross Revenue Plan of $15M and of lowering corporate travel cost through contract negotiation and partner agreements.

Career Snapshot

Evaluates, negotiates, and implements procurement strategies and discusses with management what contractual agreements make the most sense based on multiple and often complex variables.

Has authority to move forward with contracts up to 3% higher than the previous negotiated rate(s).

Conducts and oversees RFPs from initiation to selection and contract execution ensuring vendors selected are within the RCCL standards and meet the company operational and service requirements.

Communicates and presents plans and cost impacts to decision makers.

Coordinates and attends site inspections as required and maintains proper records with contract.

Explores all available options to ensure a high priority on cost savings.

Manages supplier relationships, performance metrics, and ensures continuity of service.

Delivers category productivity through price, value analysis and continuous improvement.

Gross Revenue Plan of $15M and of lowering corporate travel costs.

The Specialist is responsible to maximize savings and negotiate rates that are favorable to RCL. The position influences revenue and cost savings.

Requirements

College Degree in travel related area or any other subject with interest in business and financial concepts.

Minimum of 2 years‘ experience in travel expertise focused on Hotel, Meetings and Incentives.

Strong negotiation and decision-making skills with attention to detail.

Analytical skills are a plus for managing product and sales.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills required.

Computer skills in Microsoft Office products are a requirement with a minimum of Excel 1 expertise.

Position requires time management, resourcefulness and prioritization skills.

The ability to travel domestically and/or internationally is required 20% of the time.

Ability to be on call 24/7 as operationally needed also includes weekend work and/or planned/unplanned travel.
