Software Engineer

Job Description

Assembly & Test Technology Development (ATTD) Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software.

  • Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input and/or output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.
  • In this position, you will be working on security systems-related software engineering projects to enable and sustain secure assembly and/or test manufacturing.

  • You will design, develop, or use applications integrated with hardware security modules, use industry standard cryptographic algorithms, design or develop zero trust and/or access-controlled networks, evaluate and/or use secure cloud computing solutions.
  • Your responsibilities may include trade-off analysis of different competing secure architecture, threat assessments, design, prototyping, and development of secure and high-performance software components, multi-level secure information architecture, and encrypted data pipelines.
  • Your deliverables will need to conform to U.S. government and NIST information security standards and specifications.

    Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree (with 4+ years of relevant experience) or master’s degree (with 3+ years of relevant experience) or PhD degree (with 1+ years of relevant experience) in Computer Science or Information Security or related discipline.
  • Experienced in application of cryptographic algorithms and encryption techniques.
  • Development experience in modern programming languages (C#/.NET, Go, Rust) and using software architecture principles and design patterns.
    Knowledge of secure systems integration, secure cloud, and scalable and high-performance systems engineering.

  • Preferred

  • Familiar with FIPS-140-2 and NIST standards and CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model).
  • Familiar with Secure DevOps.
