The Stratus Managed Services team is seeking an Oracle DBA with experience implementing and maintaining Oracle databases in a multi-customer environment;

Our DBA team supports a wide range of customers and varied applications as well as provisioning, project work (design), solutioning and performance/capacity management.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Two Plus years experience as Oracle DBA

Oracle software listed below: managing database on Red Hat Linux.

• Red Hat Release 5 – 7
• Oracle Release 11 – 12
• Veridata
• Golden Gate 11 – 12
• RMAN
• UDB DB2 Release 9.7 and above a plus but not required.

Experience creating, upgrading, and administrating Oracle database servers

Ability to install, backup, restore, monitor, plan capacity, replicate, recover, tune performance, design, and troubleshoot

Experience administrating database accounts according to department security and account management policies

Experience with Oracle tools such as OEM, OUI, RMAN

Installation of software in stand-alone and replicated environments

Backup technologies RMAN, Enterprise Backup for full and differential.

High-availability implementations such as Oracle Golden Gate replication and Veridata.

Task scripting, monitoring, and performance evaluation techniques.

Diagnostic testing and in-depth troubleshooting

Must be able to pass all required Stratus background checks

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Work with world-wide DBA team members in a diverse culture

Work with source control of configuration files and maintenance scripts
