Senior Manager Procurement Centre of Excellence-Miami

Job purpose

The Senior Manager Procurement Centre of Excellence will

  • Ensure a strong governance framework is implemented for all CWC Procurement activities and revised as business requirements dictate
  • Ensure the governance framework is aligned with that of LG
  • Define, collate and publish formal Procurement reporting, including KPI’s, savings tracking, forecast vs actual, and other information as requested
  • Be responsible for creating a strong, engaged and motivated team, which includes management of colleague related matters, training & development and performance management.
  • Define and constantly review the direction, purpose and goals for their functional area within the overall direction and objectives of CWC Procurement.
  • Form a part of the Procurement senior management team and work very closely with VP Procurement and other Procurement HOD’s to collectively deliver Procurement targets and objectives
  • Drive the process of Procurement engagement with major stakeholders internally and externally

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure relevant policies, processes and procedures are implemented to create a sound governance framework and ensure cross-CWC familiarity
  • Ensure the governance framework incorporates up-to-date LG policies
  • Regularly, and as dictated by revised business requirements, review and amend the governance framework to ensure it is fully relevant to the business environment
  • Lead and mentor both the direct team and other relevant colleagues to accomplish broad functional and cross functional goals in the areas of Procurement supplier relationship management, governance, financial performance reporting
  • Define, monitor and review functional area colleague objectives, both within the formal appraisal system and as required on an ad-hoc basis
  • Align CWC business strategy, and CWC Procurement targets/objectives consistently and communicate these to functional colleague members as part of cascading and alignment process
  • Create, by example, a positive work ethic culture and full collaboration with all CWC colleagues
  • Administer Procurement organization and individual development requirements, including skills analysis, development planning, identification of internal and external development options and training coordination, to assist colleague to realize their full potential
  • Fully engage all stakeholders with effective planned communication to drive compliance with agreed business processes and requirements.
  • Define, implement and as necessary revise service level agreements between Procurement and its customers, including collection of NPS. Monitor compliance by Procurement to service levels and initiate corrective action as required

  • Ensure Procurement involvement with corporate governance including MPR, MOR, Capex Expenditure Boards
  • Implement and as necessary refine a supplier relationship management environment for all CWC suppliers. Train all relevant colleagues in the use of the environment. Monitor application of SRM procedures and take corrective action as required
  • Implement and as necessary refine a contract management environment for all CWC suppliers. Train all relevant colleagues in the use of the environment. Monitor use of the contract management environment and take corrective action as required
  • Implement and as necessary refine a CWC spend visibility and analytics environment. Train all relevant colleagues in the use of environment. Monitor use of the spend visibility environment and take corrective action as required
  • Engage with Procurement colleagues and other stakeholders to develop and implement world class Procurement policies, processes and procedures and drive compliance with CWC functional areas.
  • Implement ethics policies. Educate all relevant colleagues in their application. Update policies according to legislative and company requirements. Monitor application and compliance to policies
  • Act as interface to Procurement for internal and external audit functions. Ensure adequate preparation for audits and timely responses to audit reports and compliance with audit issues. Conduct ad-hoc internal audits of Procurement functions
  • Create timely accurate regular and ad-hoc reporting of financial, performance (KPI) and other information for Procurement
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive market and supplier intelligence infobases and analyses
  • Perform specific market or supplier detailed due diligence to support Procurement decision making processes
  • Define business requirements for systems used by Procurement and liaise with systems providers to ensure the requirements are met. Coordinate implementation of system changes with Procurement colleagues
  • Participate in long-term and short-term projects related to third party spend management, supplier relationship management, sourcing and Purchasing & Supply Chain. As required, substitute for the VP Procurement or other Procurement HOD’s during absences
  • Any other requirements as defined from time to time by VP Procurement or LIME Operating Board

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Preferred education/ qualifications:

  • Degree in Business or equivalent Procurement

Knowledge:Skills & Abilities:

  • Expert in analysis CIPS/CPM qualification, or proven purchasing expertise.
  • Expert in implementation of system and e-sourcing tools
  • Expert in Purchasing and Supply Chain topics
  • Knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems
  • An appreciation for Commercial, Financial and Operational integration
  • Strong quantitative analysis
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Preferably Post Graduate Qualifications

Experience:

  • 10 years work experience with at least 3-5 years in Procurement, preferably in a complex multinational business environment
  • At least 2 – 3 years team management experience
