The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates for a Scrum Master in the Charleston, SC area.

The Charleston Digital Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. What You’ll Do:

-Coach, mentor and provide guidance to scrum masters

-Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc)

-Be the heart and soul of your teams; keep them excited and focused around what is being delivered

-Keep a pulse on release progress and radiate information to project leadership

-Remove impediments proactively that would prevent your teams from achieving their sprint goals

-Collaborate with senior product owner and senior architect to ensure alignment on strategy and execution

-Facilitate interaction and appropriate communication between scrum teams, architecture and UX

-Facilitate Agile trainings, as needed, within the BAH Agile Coaching Community

What You Need:

-Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff. In-depth knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives

-3+ plus years’ experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Coach

-5+ years working within the Agile Framework (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc)

-Bachelor’s Degree, in lieu of a degree, 4 years experience in software or engineering

-Ability to manage multiple teams and product roadmaps

-Experience with distributed development teams which span multiple geographies, time zones and cultures

-Experience with software development and product ship cycles especially Scrum and agile development techniques

-Release planning and tracking experience

-Ability to recognize and perform timely impediment recognition and escalation

-Experience in Agile using Test Driven Development, Automated Testing, and Continuous Integration Environments

-Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value and teach techniques for effective Product backlog management

What Would be Nice:

-Government Contract Experience

-Experience with Agile facilitation, training, or public speaking

-Experience in coaching teams and/or Agile transformation

-Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certified by the Scrum Alliance

-Agile PMI-ACP Certification

-Master’s Degree
