Scrum Master for ServiceNow implementations

OwlPoint is looking for a Scrum Master to support our Southern Florida team with the implementation of ServiceNOW for multiple customers. This person will play a key role in the Agile software development responsible for ensuring Scrum practices and processes are followed. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as liaison between project teams, product owners, developers and QA team.
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, oversee and manage backlog, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
  • Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Identify and remove impediments, prevents distractions to the team.
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
  • Form strong business relationships and partner across the enterprise for effective cross-functional project delivery
  • Maintain process documentation.
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.

Requirements:
A qualified candidate should have the following experience or capabilities

  • Certified Scrum Master with at least 2 + years of experience in this role post certification
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and iterative development methodologies
  • Ability to understand technical issues and identify the means to resolving them
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
  • Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Collaborative in driving decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types.
  • Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow implementations and the ServiceNow SDLC
  • Experience with introduction of Agile in a hybrid environment (waterfall) and interfacing between the two is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and QA processes
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, solution seeker
  • Must be extremely resourceful and enthusiastic
  • Display a capacity to learn quickly and responds well to changes and opportunities
  • Focus and understanding of customer needs, always place the customer first
  • Comfortable leading meetings and engaging with group business heads.
  • Must be a hands on and independent, overseeing the entire project deliverables and resources; and report back to the senior management team
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of business processes
