Risk Manager

Job Description:
CACI is looking for a Risk Manager with proven education and experience with risk management. CACI supports the program across a broad range of systems and software technologies. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher, plus experience with the entire Risk Management process, in accordance with the highest standards of risk management in government and industry. RESPONSIBILITIES will include: Plan Risk Management; Identify Risks, Threats, and Opportunities; Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis; Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis; Perform Risk Evaluation; Plan Risk Responses; Monitor Risks; and, Control Risks.

In this role, the Risk Manager will be responsible for meeting with people at all levels and positions across the program to identify threats, opportunities, risks, watch items, constraints and issues; capturing and managing all risk items using a Risk Register and a variety of interactions with team members. Creating and maintaining a Risk Register and Risk Documentation along with planning and facilitating risk meetings, including regular Risk Management Board meetings, are also required. This role will be performed in compliance with the customer’s requirements for risk management, which may include one or more official regulations, and be subject to change.

Functional Responsibility: Serves as the Risk Manager who will work with the government customer to define the risk management process, work independently to document the risk management process, and work collaboratively to execute the risk management process; basic RESPONSIBILITIES include:

Define, develop and record all risk items on the Risk Register

Update the Risk Management Plan annually

Document all Risk Management Processes and Procedures as a Standard Operating Procedure and provide revisions/updates as needed

Assign dollar/cost/expected monetary value to each risk item and track on an ongoing basis

Work with government business counterparts to manage reserves (contingency and/or management)

Identify and develop contingency plans, fallback plans, and workarounds

Assign appropriate Risk Response Strategies (Avoid, Mitigate, Transfer, Exploit, Share, Enhance, Accept)

Assign Probability (Likelihood) and Impact (Consequences) for each risk item; track, manage, and update as risk plans are executed

Conduct SWOT Analysis, Risk Audits, Risk Assessments, and Variance and Trend Analysis

Identify Risk urgency, appetite, triggers, tolerance, threshold, and aversion and map in a decision tree matrix

Close risks as they are resolved

Report collaborate with government customers as needed, including the monthly Integrated Program Management Review (IPMR) meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum required:
Must be a U.S. Citizen, with a current, active Government Secret security clearance (Interim is acceptable)

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken form

College degree (B.A. or B.S.)

Ten (10) or more years of IT related experience

Three (3) or more years working in project management, involving Risk Management

Working knowledge of traditional Risk Management Standards

Demonstrated experience conducting a variety of analyses and solid problem solving ability

Demonstrated experience working in a technical environment and with technical subject matter as needed to understand technical concepts and perform required risk analyses

Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Desired:
Knowledge of the Army’s Risk Management processes and best practices

Basic understanding of elements related to the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management.

Working knowledge of traditional Risk Management Standards

Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodolgy

Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness

Periodically develops data which goes beyond existing boundaries of information in field

Acts independently to expose and resolve problems
