The Recruiting and Operations Manager is responsible for recruiting and managing operations for Goodwill Temps (GWT) with a focus on staffing processes implementation. Thorough understanding and management of unemployment and workers compensation claims, weekly/monthly reporting of KPI’s, and become proficient in the use of the front and back office of the software system, Apptrino. This position will require the candidate to have “back of the house” operations and strong payroll processing experience, ideally, in a staffing and recruiting environment. Maintain and update GWT processes to stay in compliance with all rules, regulations and employment laws. Must have strong sense urgency, great attention to detail. Excellent customer service and the ability to handle stressful situations with ease, is a must. Establishes and maintains recruiting activities to develop, locate, and secure candidates for Goodwill Temps job assignments.

Job Duties

Collaborate with Directors of Workforce Development (DWS) to develop a recruiting and retention strategy to ensure adequate resources of temporary associates are available to fill customer needs.

Recruit, hire, onboard and assign temporary associates who meet GWT customer standards regarding job skills and level of ability.

Weekly contact with current pool of temporary associates to identify availability for job assignments.

Conduct appropriate orientations/training to ensure all temporary associates are aware of applicable work rules and safety policies prior to assignments.

Contact GWT customer’s within 24 hours of a new associate starting assignments.

Process temporary payroll on a weekly basis in accordance with Wage & Hour regulations and company policy.

Provide knowledge and support in collaboration with DWS with training of newly hired GWT staff and Job Junction personnel as it pertains to GWT.

Maintain a working knowledge of government regulations related to employment practices.

Review customer payroll analysis weekly to ensure accuracy.

Worker’s Compensation claim management and status updates.

Unemployment claim management and status updates.

Reporting of all Key Performance Indicators and Metrics for GWT.

Process improvement and development in collaboration with GWT Management.

Communicates regularly with various government entities (ex: DOL)

Ability to travel when needed.

Other duties may be assigned as dictated by the needs of the business.

Minimum Qualifications

4 year bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience

5 years in staffing/employment services industry experience

Valid Florida Drivers License

Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong communication skills, written and verbal, interpersonal and decision making

Excellent time management and organization skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced and team environment

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task/prioritize

Experience analyzing and trending large amounts of data
