Outside Sales Representative – Southern GA/Northern FL

Ithaca, NY-based Advantage Sport & Fitness, Inc. (ASF) distributes commercial fitness equipment in 9 states including, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama & Florida We are seeking an individual to join our high performance sales team to represent us in Southern Georgia/Northern Florida, selling to the following markets: Clubs (Health clubs & Personal Training), Corporate, Hospitality, Medical, Public Agencies (Police, Fire, and Military), Recreation (Country Clubs, City Clubs, and Community Parks & Recreation) Senior Living and Residential Communities.

The ideal candidates should have previous outside sales experience, be customer focused, and located in the Jacksonville, FL area. The Outside Sales Representative will report to a Territory Manager, but must have the ability to work independently from home. This position consists of prospecting, lead follow-up, facility design, development of customer sales proposals, customer product training, and more to ensure a high level customer sales experience.

• Entry-level sales position w/ $100K + earning potential
• Base salary (based on experience) plus commission for first 12 months
• Pure commission with draw and bonus opportunities to follow

EXPECTATIONS

The expectations of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Meet and exceed quarterly & annual sales goals for the territory while staying within company pricing and profit guidelines
• Identify prospective customers and sales opportunities
• Develop and maintain customer relationships
• Consult and advise prospects and customers on ASF product offerings
• Utilize available technology to track contacts with customers by utilizing lead follow-up, emails, outbound calling, and onsite visits.
• Develop proposals and floor plans, project sales and report status of sales opportunities
• Participate in activities to improve work efficiencies and sales performance (company sales meetings, webinars and conference calls)
• Provide the necessary attitude and communication to facilitate operations and promote good will amongst co-workers, customers and vendors
• Communicate openly with leadership regarding customer issues that need immediate attention

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience in outside sales and/or the fitness industry preferred
• Experience in elite level athletics (ie. collegiate, international or professional level competition) or functional fitness/cross-fit is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with prospects and customers
• Organizational and effective time management skills to succeed in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment
• PC skills (ACT, Microsoft Office, QuoteWerks, AutoCAD)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Authentic personality with a high degree of integrity
• Robust work ethic
• Reliable transportation and residence in sales territory
• Ability to travel on a weekly basis for multi-day on-site customer and prospect visits
