The role and responsibility for the position of Pricing Administrator is to prepare, maintain and disperse pricing information to the various departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Price Structures

o Create structures for new products and update pricing of existing products providing discount and depletion allowance information to all concerned

o Provide updates in pricing and changes in format to the Indiana Beverage Journal by the 1st of each month

  • Sales Support

o Provide a detailed listing of price changes, new items and vintage changes semi-monthly

o Produce discount sheets for distribution to managers for the sales force and the general market on a monthly basis

o Prepare seasonal pricing documents

o Produce a monthly closeout sheet for distribution by sales managers.

  • Item Master Maintenance

o Maintain general market and key account discounts for all divisions

o Maintain pricing files for chain and military accounts

o Entry and changes of customer discount levels and hardwires

o Maintain discount entry on new vintage items

o Code items for closeouts, change frontlines and delete existing discounts or net pricing

o Maintain vendor and discontinued item files

  • Administrative

o As necessary: receipt entry, adjustments and purchase orders

o Provide pricing information to vendors/suppliers upon request

o Verify pricing from vendors/suppliers

o Physical inventory entry as needed

o Prepare monthly tax report

o Coordinate clearance orders

o Maintain freight log

o Assist with monthly close out of rebate and allowance schedule

o Provide backup assistance to the accounts payable/purchase journal clerk

Education and/or Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school with four year college degree preferred; three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language, Mathematical, and Reasoning Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents (such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals) and to write routine reports and correspondence, and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Spanish bilingual abilities preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, in addition to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished (in written, oral, or diagram form) and to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet, Microsoft Office Suite software (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and etc.), and order processing systems (such as Logility, Microstrategy, and etc.) or the aptitude to learn.
