Software Technical Support

EDCO Health Information Solutions is currently looking for a Software Technical Support Specialist to join our team of business professionals in Sioux Falls, SD. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your skills and experience to a growing, thriving healthcare software company. We are bringing on new customers, hiring more team members, and expanding locations.

A successful candidate in this position will enjoy working with internal and external customers on a daily basis, get a sense of accomplishment from troubleshooting and solving problems, and contribute to building documentation and a knowledge base repository while maintaining company standards of performance and security.

We’re looking for someone that can do the following:

  • Become a subject matter expert of EDCO’s Solarity software and services in order to provide comprehensive technical support within 6-9 months.
  • Proactively and effectively resolve internal and external customer issues and requests. Strong customer services skills are required in this position, as you will spend approximately 20-25% of your day on the phone with internal and external customers and will also communicate with customers through email and Jira, our ticketing system.
  • Analyze issue trends to proactively help resolve future issues and request.
  • Take the initiative to improve processes, solutions and configurations.
  • Adapt quickly to a dynamic and changing environment as volume and type of work varies from day to day, so being flexible and enjoying variety is important.

Desired Skills & Experience

If you can accomplish the above, you’ve got what it takes. The ideal candidate has the following:

  • Experience with Enterprise Support, ideally supporting a commercial product.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server.
    • Understands local/directory based user/group permissions.
    • Robust understanding of basic file/folder storage logic.
  • Working knowledge of basic network concepts and exposure to various file/data transfer methods.
  • Has basic MSSQL knowledge.
  • Has had exposure to .Net framework.
  • Completed, or on path to complete AAS with a technical major.
