Pre-Registration Representative

Job Duties: obtain demographic information for accurate patient registrations over the phone, verify insurance and determine eligibility, quote benefits per insurance guidelines, and collect estimated out-of-pocket costs and patient co-pays.

Characteristics of an ideal candidate: Motivated worker self-starter with a positive attitude who is energetic, determined, dependable, and a team player. Pre-certification experience is a bonus, but not required. Financial counseling experience is a bonus, but not required.

Requirements:

• 1 year of hospital or physician office experience in patient registration
• Experience in obtaining patient demographics and understanding patient privacy
• Experience in insurance verification; understanding benefits and eligibility, calculating out-of-pocket costs
• Experience in point-of-service collection efforts
• Knowledge of HIPAA

Salary Range: $12.00 to $14.00, depending on experience
