Metro Account Executive

SUMMARY:

The Metro Account Executive will be responsible for the sourcing and opportunity validation of perspective customers for DHL Parcel Metro products. The position will work closely with the local sales team to identify opportunities to sell across product lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for lead identification of potential customers for DHL Parcel Metro services including, on-demand, same and next day.The territory will have a minimum goal of $3 million revenue.

  • Responsible for opportunity validation of leads through understanding customer’s logistics strategy and technology capabilities to participate in localized services.

  • Identify key decision makers and make first point of contact to determine interest in product portfolio. Includes an overview of product portfolio and technical requirements.

  • Execute sales goals and priorities.

  • Plan and conduct presentations and hub/depot tours.

  • Maintain records/reporting requirements while achieving and exceeding minimum performance standards.

  • Coordinate new customer on-boarding through internal collaboration with customer solutions, customer service and product engineering.

  • Constantly improve skills and quality of selling through taking advantage of joint selling opportunities and training.

  • Main point of contact for account management and ongoing customer satisfaction.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 5-8 years of experience in related field or MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in related field. Previous experience in a logistics environment, specifically parcel delivery, is preferred.

  • Travel 25% day trips

    IT Requirements:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Previous experience using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system (Sales Force.com preferred)

    Physical Demands:

  • Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting
  • Regular sitting at work station for 25 – 75% of the work shift
  • Frequent standing and walking
