Job Description

Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipments, process and training. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct on-line equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Responsible for running lots in a qualitative way. Also, responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining. In addition, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability. The Manufacturing Technician may be responsible for the buddy, trainer, and certifier levels and is in charge of updating training manuals. May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required. Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidates should possess a minimum of an Associate of Science degree in Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering Technology, or Computer Electronic Engineering Technology, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Biology.
• Candidates with 3 or more years of military electronic/avionic technician training including ability to demonstrate basic knowledge in electronics or digital circuitry, experience with end-user computer skills and navigation, schematic/wiring diagram reading, electronic systems troubleshooting and maintenance, and the testing, repairing and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment down to a component using available schematics, technical data and test equipment will also be considered.
• Candidates must be able to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.
• Candidates must have the ability to work on a compressed work week schedule. Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week. There are four shifts which include S/M/T every other W days (Shift 5); Th/F/S every other W days (Shift 7); Su/M/T every other S nights (Shift 4); and W/Th/F every other S nights (Shift 6). -Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., and spend the majority of time (90% less break time) on the floor working on tool sets, processing WIP, walking long distances, and/or standing/sitting for extended periods of time.
