We are currently looking
for a Manager-Commercial Boeing Programs.

The
Manager-Commercial Boeing Programs
will s
upport the Program
Delivery-Operations of the Aerospace Division Business Lines (BL) in front of
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). Lead
local, short term and on-going projects that span across multiple BLs in effort
to demonstrate a consistent “One Thales” approach in front of (BCA).

Consolidate
and report Operational Performances across the AVS GBU. Proactively coach BL
representatives to ensure optimum Boeing supplier health scores in the Boeing
Quality Management System and in the Production Readiness Assessments (PRA).

Business Line Support

Function as the
local interface for BL operations and business considerations, performing the
function of liaison between the BL home office functional leaders and Boeing.

Establish
relationships at all levels of BCA that will enhance Thales’ position as a long-term Boeing partner and to ensure that the
BLs image and performance are viewed well by the customer, in order to enable future
business opportunities.

TUSA
:

  • Manage specific short-term and on-going projects on
    behalf of the TUSA VP BCA Programs (e.g.,
    Boeing’s “Partnering for Success”).
  • Customer-facing POC, leading, driving,
    coordinating, and consolidating reporting for BL efforts in order drive and
    produce project results for Boeing.
  • Foster relationship-building at both Boeing and
    Thales BLs, in order to foster a strong, cooperative working environment. Maximize exposure inside Boeing and highlight
    work efforts, in order to enhance visibility for Thales efforts.
  • Consolidate BL Operational performances. Highlight, drive, and establish key recovery
    actions and effectively escalate and seek executive advice and support when
    necessary.

ASSIGNED BUSINESS LINE
:

  • Serves as Senior Account Manager for a BL,
    representing the business operations function, ensuring consistency of approach
    and coordination of initiatives with respect to current and future business
    with BCA.
  • Utilizes the authority delegated by the BL
    Management to direct the activities of the specified BL effectively and
    efficiently in accordance with the BL policies, processes and procedures in
    order to ensure the performance of the BL is in accordance with Customer
    expectations.
  • Develops the Customer relationships for the
    specified BL to provide direction for performance improvements to ensure the
    performance ranking evaluated by BCA is in line with objectives.
  • Manages the production support activities of the
    specified BL to ensure the required level of performance is given to the BCA
    production lines and Consuming Partners, including the timely resolution of
    delivery problems and rejected part problems.
  • Provides interface leadership for communications
    for on-going and development programs.
  • Support Account receivables Ensures that all Boeing
    payments are made in accordance with the contracts.
  • Represents the
    specified BL as required in all types of BCA activities and meetings (such as
    Supply Chain, Quality, Rate Readiness, Production Readiness Assessments etc.)
    to ensure good communication, follow up and execution in accordance with
    evolving BCA requirements.
  • Assists in the corrective action process of the
    in-service performance/production rejections of equipment delivered from the
    specified BL’s, coordinates action plans for improvement and interfaces with
    BCA on these improvements.
  • Supports sales and business development activities
    for the specified BL, working with the Thales teams on-site in Seattle and in
    the BL facilities in France.
  • Coordinates, establishes and participates in
    meetings between all levels of Boeing and Thales personnel.
  • Serves as local prime contact between Thales and
    Boeing PAs. POC for all Boeing inquiries
    related to shipments and status of rejections.
  • Assists in commercial and contractual negotiations
    for existing programs.
  • Translates and corrects documents submitted to
    ensure ease of use for Boeing: technical and commercial proposals, important
    letters etc.

Provides following specific primary support to The BL with regards to
Boeing tools and processes:

  • BEST (Boeing
    Quality and Delivery Indicator): ensures all rejected equipment reported is
    justly noted and provides delivery data to Boeing monthly in order to ensure
    the optimum score for CLA
  • BIVS (Boeing
    Invoicing System): follow up of unpaid invoices and debits; follows up and
    submits all missing invoices to Boeing where necessary
  • SCORES
    (Production Readiness tool – in association with Program in Toulouse)
  • SDT (Supplier
    Data Transmittal for submittal of technical documentation to Boeing)
  • SPDM (Supplier
    Product Data Management – for the delivery to Thales of Boeing specific
    documentation and the follow up of revised documents in accordance with the
    contractual Commonality Matrix on 787).
    Negotiation and Management of the Commonality Matrix in association with
    Toulouse Contracts and Quality.
  • EXOSTAR (PO
    Delivery system): Administrator managing access for others, renewal of tokens,
    management of POs (in association with Toulouse SC), Submits responses to Rate
    Readiness Studies and Lead Time analyses.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of technical
    B.S. degree and work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Aerospace project management, supervision and
    contract management of technical projects.
  • Excellent communication skill (English) both oral and written.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand all contact documentation (SOW,
    Specification, Terms and Conditions, P. O.).
  • Computer literacy including word processing, spreadsheets, etc. is
    essential.
  • Critical thinking, able to identify and implement better
    efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Travel within North America, and international travel for customer
    or internal meetings. (10%).

Desired Skills
&Experience:

  • Verbal and written fluency in French.
  • Experience working with Boeing Procurement processes.
  • Experience with commercial negotiations with Boeing commercial
    airplane.
  • Experiences working with Boeing manufacturing production systems.
  • Experience working with Boeing Quality management systems.
