Junior Software Engineer

CVC Credit Partners is a leading credit asset management firm and currently employs over 100 people globally. We develop strategies across several credit platforms including Performing Credit, Special Situations, Credit Opportunities, and Private Debt.

We are seeking a strong developer to join the Quantitative Analytics team. The Quantitative Analytics team is tasked with developing the trading platform, supporting internal data infrastructure, and providing quantitative/modelling expertise. We work closely with the front-office and Operations/IT departments to support existing infrastructure and develop new strategies to warehouse data and reporting system for the investment platform.

The ideal candidate will be excited about building & maintaining internal systems that need to interact reliably on a day-to-day basis. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and become an expert in the processes and data of the firm. A combination of solid communication and technical knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of software development lifecycle; design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverable
• Gather requirements for complex business initiatives
• An ability to think outside the box and find the best solutions to complex/challenging problems
• Communicate to various stakeholders within the firm
• Interest and ability to learn new technologies, as needed

Experiences

• Experience with the following would be considered an asset:
• C# and the .NET Framework is a strong plus
• ETL & Data Warehouse development experience
• A modern JavaScript framework
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent project management and prioritization skills
• Exposure to enterprise-quality software development process
• Previous experience in financial industry is not required but considered an asset.
