Job description:

• Create a rich UI for search, reporting, visualization Participate in design and development of web-based Java platforms and services to process, store, and serve large volumes of data at scale Work closely with other front end web and database/big data developers
• Analyze business requirements for complex projects Develop proof of concepts of new technologies and evaluate the state of the art in web and server-side technologies

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Core java expertise
• Experience with java web frameworks(Spring, Grails, other) Javascript expertise
• Experience with modern javascript frameworks(including SPA frameworks like Angular, React).
• Strong understanding of HTTP
• Writing and consuming REST APIs
• Web performance testing
• Expertise with RDBMS including one of mysql, postgres, MS SQL, or Oracle Version control with git or subversion
• Strong scripting skills in shell, python, perl, or ruby
• Experience with best practices in software development including agile methods, code review, unit/functional/integration testing, continuous integration/deployment
• Expertise with Linux
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Desired skills:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering
• Data visualization
• Information retrieval with Solr/elasticsearch
• Hadoop ecosystem

Required education:

• Bachelor’s

Required experience:

• Java web development, Hadoop, Angular, react, HTML, CSS: 7 years
• Spring, shell, python, perl, Linux, Oracle, REST: 7 years
