DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable, and results-orientated Java Developer to join our team. This position is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, debugging, and implementing software applications using JAVA/J2EE, Oracle DB, and Web Services in an Agile team environment. This position will also be responsible for troubleshooting production problems related to existing software. Specific job functions and requirements include:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Plan and lead major technology assignments.
• Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broader in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
• Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of software products based on client requirements.
• Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Perform feasibility analysis on potential future application projects to management.
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
• Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics wherever applicable.
• Evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports.
• Function as technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience building and maintaining complex software applications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with JAVA/J2EE, Oracle DB, and Web Services.
• Experience in developing code, testing, and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software.
• 3 years working within an Agile development team (Scrum/Kanban) environment is highly desired.
• Familiarity with responsive web design, test driven design, mobile first design.
• Familiarity with GIT, Maven, Ant, and Git Workflow.
• Familiarity with Intellii IDEA
