Essential Job Functions
Ability to Partner with Business Management:

  • Ability to assess the internal and industry IT landscape, and then develop, deliver and maintain an IT Roadmap consistent with the Business Plan and strategy.
  • Ability to provide and discuss technology business solutions with key stakeholders and articulate the technical options to align with business needs. Responsible for the development of technology investment business cases coordinating with business sponsors. Also develop and drive Digital business cases that not only create efficiencies but provide and/or support growth opportunities for the business
  • Responsible for the building of solutions to support the changing needs of the business with an optimal level of investment in tools and technologies.
  • Ability to challenge the business to leverage IT effectively and efficiently, through improved business processes, timely access to business-critical information and knowledge
  • Ability to work with Business Operations to prioritize work requests; Ability to plan and complete maintenance and upgrades successfully; Ability to plan and deliver IT projects successfully.
  • Ability to support the due diligence on potential acquisition targets, develop an integration plan and successfully implement the plan post-closing

Experience in managing an IT team preferably in a similar service industry with proven methodologies:

  • Prior experience successfully managing an IT operation, development, or support organization of similar size and scope. Familiar with Agile methodologies and developing personnel as they transition from traditional IT methodologies to new Agile frameworks.
  • Prior experience managing the integration and consolidation of a new Business Unit IT operation
  • Must have prior experience in meeting IT Control audit expectations and enforcing the use of standard processes and procedures within the IT Team. Adhere to Corporate IT standard technologies utilized by ENGIE

Strong technical experience with relevant technologies

  • Experience with configuration and support of enterprise business applications (Salesforce, SAP, etc.) and the development of custom solutions leveraging cloud technologies.
  • Integration – Ability to develop both tactical and strategic plans for integrating new companies leveraging the BU platforms. Experience with Integration Platforms (Boomi, Mulesoft, etc.) a plus
  • Reporting – knowledge of analytics and big data reporting platforms (Azure/AWS). Ability to understand the business and develop reporting recommendations
  • Understanding of IT security and ability to work with security professionals to implement and support best practices
  • Experienced with both on-premise and cloud technology solutions to properly propose optimum recommendations for system architecture.
  • Knowledge of mobile/tablet technology and how to incorporate into the IT enterprise model while ensuring proper security, and governance

Ability to work successfully with and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.

  • Solid negotiation skills.
  • Ability to leverage vendor knowledge to benefit the company.
  • Ability to complete vendor and product assessments and provide a recommended action.

Senior IT management professional.

  • Strategic and Tactical Thinker; Ability to be forward-looking and strategic while delivering reliable IT services
  • Ability to function as both a working manager and a technology leader; a strategist and an operations expert. Energy service industry knowledge is a must.
  • A responsible budget manager that makes the best use of available funds and meets budget expectations.
  • Ability to plan and work independently, ability to assess situations, make decisions and take responsibility for those decisions.
  • Ability to manage through planned or unexpected emergencies (i.e. hurricane) or outages.
  • Good communications skills, oral and written; Diplomacy and professionalism to successfully interact with all levels of the organization including senior management.
  • Management skills and ability to successfully work with people at all levels of the company, including technology, business and management personnel.
  • Must be able to work non-standard hours including emergency situations.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT management experience

Essential Physical Abilities

  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use a personal computer.
  • Could involve some lifting.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years minimum Information Technology management experience
  • Experience with Enterprise platforms – CRM, Project Management, Billing, Finance.
  • 5+ years managing software systems integration with experience leveraging cloud platforms. Experience managing custom software development.
  • 5+ years enterprise architecture experience

Working Environment
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Frequently communicates with employees and customers
