Summary of Work

This position provides technical support to the ND Department of Human Services business and clinical staff within the ND DHS Human Service Centers, the ND State Hospital and the Life Skills Transition Center.

  • Troubleshoot multiple software application systems.
  • Liaison between vendors and State Information Technology staff as needed for escalated issues.
  • Work with business analyst and software vendors to test system upgrades and changes.
  • Create user accounts and manage security within the supported applications.
  • Development of views and reports within the Electronic Heath Records (EHR) system.

Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to perform in a fast-paced, progressive, and challenging team environment. Preference will be given to someone with SQL query knowledge, an understanding of relational databases, and Crystal Reports experience.

Minimum Qualifications

The IT Coordinator position is classified as a Data Processing Coordinator III, which requires seven years of work experience in duties involving the installation, modification and maintenance of Information systems software. College level course work in an Information Technology related degree program may be substituted for the required work experience on a year for year basis.

If we are unable to find qualified candidates at that level, we will consider filling the position as a Data Processing Coordinator II, which requires five years of work experience in duties involving the installation, modification and maintenance of Information systems software. College level course work in an Information Technology related degree program may be substituted for the required work experience on a year for year basis.
