Overview

The IT Asset Management Analyst ensures that the business technology asset management repository has current and projected asset information to make informed financial procurement decisions.

· Oversees development and maintenance of tracking system for all hardware/software assets in order to maintain an accurate inventory and accounting of all assets and their components

· IT Asset Management Analyst collaborates with IT Service owners and IT Asset Management team to create a world class processes, policies and procedures

· Ensure compliance with vendor contracts

· Develops and implements procedures for tracking these IT assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles

· Works with senior management and vendor management functions to review technology resources (hardware/software), expenses, and vendor purchase agreements

·T Asset Management Analyst establishes desktop procedures for managing the day to day asset management process

· Collaborates with IT functional and technical leads to determine system requirements

· Assists procurement, financial, and legal departments in analyzing budgets, proposals, and vendor contracts for acquisition

·T Asset Management Analyst creates usage reports that are used to track license allocation, consumption and renewal deadlines

· Communicates regularly with IT leads to ensure alignment of activities and accuracy of asset data

· IT Asset Management Analyst establishes linkage with budgeting and procurement processes to track asset acquisition, utilization, and retirement of assets

Qualifications forIT Asset Management Analyst

· 5+ years of IT Asset Management which could include AMDB/CMDB management in a fortune 100-fortune 1000 organization..

· Hands-on experience interfacing with Asset Management system

· Superior business and analytical skills, able to focus on key issues and solve problems.

· Proven ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical level.

· Expresses a proper sense of urgency from both a personal perspective and from the nature of a given assignment. Likes to achieve quick and accurate results.

· Two+ years of experience with Oracle, Excel and Access

· An undergraduate degree in either accounting or finance is required. An MBA is preferred.
