International Rate Desk / Refund Agent (EV)

Job Summary

ADTRAV is seeking an experienced International Agent to assist ADTRAV agents to ensure all International reservations are confirmed at the lowest possible fare to include creative ticket, web search and consolidator booking when applicable. Must have diverse knowledge of international rules and regulations to ensure all bookings are accurate and to the client’s specifications. Duties and Responsibilities: • Review all International Reservations to ensure the lowest fare is confirmed for our clients. • Verify hotels and cars are booked in the proper locations and dates • Review alternate airfares for lower cost by checking consolidators and tour companies to ensure the lowest fare is confirmed • Review creative ticketing possibilities to lower the total fare by split ticketing, around the world etc. • Field questions from agents on formats and faring as well as reference for small International carriers. • Ensures are reservations are reviewed by Centralized ticketing for commission opportunities • Add Rate desk documentations of fare savings to the PNR for customer reporting • Answers phone queues for international reservations when requested. Book new reservations as well as changing current International reservations. International travel arrangements include air, car, hotel, and ground transportation as required. Assists in answering questions about international travel guidelines, passport and visa requirements. • Supports co-workers when needed for formatting or other complex problems. Assists in special assignments and projects as needed. Skills/Experience Required: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Travel School certified or A.S. Degree in Travel/Tourism preferred. GDS Certification a plus. • 5 years minimum of complex Corporate International Reservations experience. • At least 5 years recent experience with ticketing/Refunds and professing exchanges in SABRE • Detail oriented, work well in a fast paced environment and have excellent multi-tasking abilities.
