Intake / Docketing Specialist, Human Relations

Starting Salary: $42,161 to 52,728 per year, depending on qualifications [Revised March 22]

NATURE OF WORK:
Performs professional and administrative work in support of the Human Relations function. Conducts intake interviews in person and on the telephone with individuals seeking assistance with discrimination complaints in employment, housing, and public accommodations; Frames charges based on information gathered during in-person interview with complainants that constitute a prima facie discrimination charge. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Human Relations Supervisor and reviewed while in progress and upon completion, via discussions, internal and external audits, reports and results achieved.

WORK SCHEDULE will include participation in office-sponsored activities during regular work hours, weekdays after 5:00 p.m., weekends and/or holidays.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree in sociology, human resources/personnel administration, public or business administration; or related field; one year of discrimination investigation intake experience working with Title VII and Title VIII of the Federal Civil Rights Act; or an associate degree in one of the aforementioned disciplines plus three years of experience as specified; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Florida driver license required. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Bilingual (Spanish-English) desired, but not required.

VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
