JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an Information Systems Technician to provide hands on-inventory management, physical build-out, System Administration, periodic maintenance, and Level 1 factory support of factory test systems, internal R&D systems and fielded data center systems. Duties will include:

• Visually identify and install equipment based on Microsoft Visio drawings of rack stencils
• Physically cable data center systems based on drawings and spreadsheets of system interconnects and power cut sheets
• Create and install equipment and cable identification labels IAW policies
• System administration of data center equipment from power on to include initial configuration, OS load and VM management
• Update system documentation to reflect as-built; system documentation includes rack drawings, system interconnects, power cut sheets, End Item Assembly drawings, and operations manuals
• Maintain inventory of all data center equipment and order new/replacement items with associated licenses, warranties, and required accessories
• Provide Level 1 factory support to fielded systems and lab systems, inclusive of OSI layer 1 troubleshooting; support OEM/vendor technicians during hosted trouble ticket calls
• Local Travel is currently limited, 1-2 weeks

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma and 4 years’ experience or Associates Degree and at least 2 years’ experience in IT equipment installation/maintenance
• Experience with VM Ware
• Experience with Linux
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Ability to lift 75 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification

• CompTIA Network+ Certification
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification
• Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Command / CENTOS
• Familiarity with Command Line Interface (CLI) on networking appliances

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance, you need to be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
