HRIS Techno-Functional Lead – Oracle HCM Fusion

Role Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated, resourceful and articulate individual to coordinate all aspects of internal information system-specific projects. This individual will work to help improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization’s HR Technology objectives. This candidate will be challenged to work in a team environment and will coordinate work with internal customers and partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs impact assessments in HR IT area. Other responsibilities include defining detailed project scope and working with various business owners across multiple organizations to obtain the level of effort that is needed to complete the initiative. This position serves as a technical point of contact for the HRIS and assists subject matter experts (SME’s) with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The role also supports troubleshooting system issues, HRIS system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. To be successful in this role, this individual must be comfortable operating independently with some supervision, excellent at multi-tasking and flexible to changing priorities daily.

  • Support and maintenance of HRIS systems including Oracle HCM Cloud, Taleo, Cornerstone covering modules for Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Performance, Learn, and Recruit.
  • Key point-of-contact to support HRIS maintenance includes timely research and resolution to HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements; opening and managing service requests directly with Oracle or escalating and managing tickets with our third-party service HRIS provider
  • Assist in assessment of upgrades and testing during system upgrades and patches.
  • Coordinate and execute the review, testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades and/or patches.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and technical staff to coordinate application upgrades or break-fix. Document process and results.
  • Ensure data integrity between HRIS and third-party systems including Payroll. Accountable for determining the root cause of issues and next steps to correct to ensure the issue doesn’t happen in the future.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendor and HR to drive system enhancements as required
  • Troubleshooting production issues and thinking critically in pressure situations.
  • Develop, maintain and support a variety of reports using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in the development of standard reports for ongoing SME Business needs.
  • Assist with annual regulatory reporting by delivering data required for – EEO, VETS, and AAP Audit & Compliance
  • Conduct thorough and scheduled data audits that include data compares within the Oracle HCM HRIS to ADP and all benefit vendors’ interfaces. Proactively identify issues and work to resolve with appropriate parties. Catalog and report findings to HR and IT leadership and appropriate payroll and accounting partners.
  • Support the annual external audit process by providing reporting and supporting documentation as requested.
  • Demonstrate Excellent communication skills and effective liaison between Business SME’s and technical team (including 3rd parties).
  • Maintain and continuously improve SOPs related to HRIS and interface maintenance. Ensure all routine activities associated with maintenance of the system are documented to ensure operational continuity.
  • Timely response to internal requests made by the business

Qualifications/Experience

  • BA/BS in Information Systems, or related major
  • 5+ years’ experience designing, developing/configuring, maintaining Human Resources Information Systems
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex IT systems and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with SMEs within IT and HR
  • To be successful in this role, this individual must be comfortable operating independently, excellent at multi-tasking and flexible to changing priorities daily.
  • 2+ years of techno-functional experience with Oracle’s HCM Fusion Cloud Suite is required. Experience should be across multiple Oracle HCM Fusion modules such as; Core HR, Payroll, Compensation Absence Management.
  • Experience in Oracle HCM Fusion Cloud extracts, OBIEE, FBL/HDL and fast formula creation/maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate Oracle HCM cloud with other systems
  • Customer-service focused with timely responses to customer inquiries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people/groups, internally and externally
  • Ability to work in a team environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt quickly to changes and the discipline to complete last minute requests as needed
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently and the initiative to handle increasing responsibility overtime
  • Ability to follow through with open issues until resolved
  • Strong experience with an affinity for data integrity and HR systems
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Strong proficiency in all MS Office programs.
