HR Business Partner, Senior Manager

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY :

This Senior Manager, HR Business Partner role will partner with business leaders to understand desired business outcomes required at a tactical and strategic level; use analytics to drive organizational effectiveness and change management and serves as trusted advisor to assigned business groups in all Human Resources related areas. Ideal candidate will assess and anticipate HR related needs, maintain positive, consultative relationships with business group and staff managers to identify and resolve Human Resources issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

– Work closely with senior leaders and managers to provide expertise and hands on support in multiple areas including: workforce planning, on boarding, employee retention, employee relations, management coaching, performance management and change management.

– Assesses risk areas associated with employee retention and proactively develops solutions to strengthen the business organization.

– Manage, recommend and implement remedies on mid-level to complex employee relations; Identify trends and develop solutions to improve work environment

– Conducts investigations of complex and sensitive internal employee relations matters, applying relevant laws, policies and past practice to reach sound conclusions.

– Provides sound, constructive and timely consultation as well as coaching and training to the business on a wide range of human resource topics.

– Helps drive business success by reviewing and analyzing HR metrics to proactively assess performance, identify actionable trends, develop retention strategies, and recommend specific actions to BG leadership.

– Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.

– Facilitates talent management activities such as succession planning and readiness, high potential identification, training and leadership development needs.

– Develops communications and outreach strategies for employee engagement.

– Acts a business HR point of contact for the successful implementation of functional HR initiatives (e.g. performance management, salary planning, talent reviews, etc.).

– Provide performance management guidance to line management for coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.

– Collaborates with and facilitates support from HR functional and Subject Matter Experts

– Drives efficiencies in the core services, processes and functions provided through the HR Business Partner organization.

– Provides team leadership to less experienced employees; assists with mentoring new HR Business Partners.

– Some travel may be required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 12-15 years of related experience, with three to five years supervisory/management experience.

Experience with Service Contract Act (SCA) administration for non-exempt employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
