Help Desk Tier II Support Specialist

Information Technology Strategies, LLC. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Help Desk Tier II IT Support Specialist to work for our company.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be responsible for the following:

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be responsible for the following:

Responsible for providing technical service to onsite/remote clientele supporting multiple federal IT infrastructures to include NIPR, SIPRNET and JWICS.

Responsible for documenting service request via incident ticketing system and running reports to track workflow status.

Tracking, routing and redirecting problems to correct resources as needed.

Properly escalating unresolved queries to the next level of support.

Responsible for providing first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues.

Provide remote troubleshooting solutions for computer or operating system issues to remediate technical anomalies.

Assist in the development and recommending of cost effective technical system improvements as needed.

Responsible for correcting technical issues on servers, workstations, mobile devices and software on a business network(s).

Responsible for preserving and grow your knowledge of help desk procedures, products, services and include researching new technology trends.

Requirements:

  • This position requires an active Secret security clearance.
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology and or other related fields of study
  • Must have 5-7+ years of experience working in a service desk environment
  • Proven experience in or knowledge of network management of WAN/LAN computer networks, data communications, TCP/IP, applications monitoring & diagnostics; working knowledge of Federal Networks NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWIC networks and management tool, ticketing systems
  • Technology Suites: Computing Environment; Windows 7 or Higher Must have excellent oral/written communications skills with strong federal business acumen and customer service end user technical support
  • Must have valid Security + Certification or higher and provide proof as it is required for the position.
