Front End UI Developer

Some one to augment our UX and Engineering teams. Day-to-day work will be a mix of UX and Engineering tasks. You will help guide the UX team on technical feasibility of designs, and also assist in making functional prototypes in our UIs. We are looking for someone who is motivated to lead and continuously improve our visual patterns as manifested in code. You will be an integral player in selecting how we deliver styles and DOM.

Our teams are already competent in our selected technologies, but are eager to have a point-person join the team to develop UIs that are visually appealing and intuitive.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with User Experience engineers and Product engineers to implement visual design intent
• Write well designed, testable, efficient HTML/CSS code by using best software development practices
• Help develop and refine UI pattern libraries and interaction guidelines

Required Skills:

• Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, Modern Web Standards, and Responsive Design
• Skills in creating rapid prototypes in HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript
• Experience solving cross browser compatibility, optimization, and layout issues
• Strong communication ability and collaborative skills
• Flexible and can-do attitude
• 5+ years professional design and front end development experience in complex enterprise software products

Additional considerations:

• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with modern browser UI frameworks like React, Angular, & VanillaJS
• Experience with SASS, LESS, and CSS-via-JS strategies
• Familiarity with Design for i18n
• Familiarity with Design for accessibility
