Financial Analyst – Private Equity

Robert Half Finance is seeking a Financial Analyst for the Asset Management team of a reputable Private Equity firm, office in Miami. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm that will be very competitive with compensation and benefits.

The Asset Management Analyst is a broad role responsible for various tasks, including, but not limited to, financial and valuation analysis, financial modeling, monthly and quarterly performance reporting, report writing, year-end audit support, ad-hoc assignments, and supporting senior level staff within a fast paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Primary responsibilities of the Financial Analyst – Asset Management role:

• Research and analyze financial and operating information relating to companies and industries.

• Perform complex financial modeling

• Run valuation analysis as part of quarterly/annual valuation process.

• Create statistical exhibits and trend analysis of financial performance for internal/client presentations.

• Perform valuation analysis on a portfolio companies within various industries/geographic sectors using accepted and relevant approaches and theory

• Design and work with financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction analyses

• Independently gathering data pertinent to the engagement through direct portfolio company management, internal, and third-party vendor interactions

• Design and maintain standard portfolio analytics templates and update for new acquisitions and monthly performance.

• Participate in monthly management calls to review performance and track progress against value creation and de-risking plans

• Help implement a portfolio wide software tool to aggregate company information and liaise with vendor to tailor features and templates

• Support the investing, finance and investor relation teams in analyzing portfolio company performance.

• Financial analysis training and experience.

• 3+ years of successive relevant experience within corporate banking/valuation/financial due diligence.

• Excellent analytical skills to include business, financial, and credit analysis areas.

• Highly skilled in building complex financial models.

• Highly developed written and oral communication skills.

• Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools including Microsoft Excel.
