Financial Analyst
Key Role:

Provide financial management support to a defense agency technology office, including program management and progress tracking, financial analysis, and document coordination. Develop, update, and maintain detailed Excel–based spreadsheets using complex formulas and Visual Basics macros. Create funding documents, templates, president’s Budget R&D Descriptive Summaries (RDDS), multi–slide briefings, and presentations. Demonstrate proficiency in performing data analysis using various government financial systems, preparing recommendations to counter proposed budget reductions, and adjusting execution schedules, as needed. Identify trends and develop measures to ensure planned obligations and expenditures meet targeted objectives, develop and monitor financial or spend plans against actual expenditures, prepare financial reports, charts, presentations, and financial packages, and participate in financial reviews. Interact with project managers, functional experts, and clients onsite on a daily basis. Perform multiple tasks in a team or individual environment effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with program financial or budget analysis

-2 years of experience with managing defense–related programs

-2 years of experience in a DoD environment

-Experience with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and the creation of macros using visual basics

-TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing analysis and support to defense research and development programs

-Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and a team orientation

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

-BA or BS degree in Finance or a related field

Clearance:
