Finance Associate

This position will be responsible for the Maine DHHS childcare subsidy program and provide support to the CFO, CEO and the corporate branch including mailings, entering programs that require registration into membership management software, invoicing and performing association-wide scans on the national sex offender registry. In addition they will be responsible for Daxko Operations program set up, report generation, membership set up and training for all staff.

Qualifications
• Associates Degree or equivalent experience in related field required.

• Basic accrual accounting and financial analysis skills necessary.

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite or Mac equivalent.

• Ability to learn new software systems quickly. Experience with fund-raising software a plus. Experience with Daxko software a plus.

• Ability to keep confidences related to office or personnel matters.

• Effective interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.

• Effective problem solving skills, multi-tasking, and strong organizational skills.

• Detailed-oriented, with excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly express ideas both verbally and in writing.

Essential Functions
1. Run monthly reports for the association and process association wide mailings as needed.

2. Enter programs offered by the association that require registration into membership management software.

3. Perform scans on the national sex offender registry on a regular basis for the association and notify the appropriate managers on the results if needed.

4. Work with finance office and program teams to follow receivables process and collect outstanding debts.

5. Conduct research, compile data, and prepare documents for programs such as Summer Camp, School Age and full day child care and other association wide programs as needed.

6. Collects, verifies accuracy, maintains and edits data as needed to be utilized by Y-USA for national reports including monthly membership reports, and any other reports needed.

7. Work in conjunction with the Brand Advocate Director on the newsletter; emails for membership renewals, credit card expirations and bad drafts.

8. Responsible for overall management of the DHHS childcare subsidy program which includes documentation, billing, receivables and regular reporting to appropriate branch staff on outstanding payments and missing documents.

9. Perform Daxko Operations program set up with brand architecture; provide reports as needed and directed by CFO and CEO; and provide training for branch staff especially membership desk staff.

10.Serves as System Support and point person for membership management software for Association which includes troubleshooting, creating users and training for any related questions or issues.

11.Other duties as required.

Required Certifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience in related field required.
  • High School Diploma.
