Accounts Payable Clerk

OTTO pizza is currently seeking a Accounts Payable Clerk to add to their team in Portland, ME. This position is responsible for the full cycle of Accounts Payable for the company. The AP Clerk will be the main point of contact with all issues pertaining to accounts payable, perform all accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of account payable transaction.

Responsibilities include:

• Matching, batching and coding of invoices.
• Perform check runs as required.
• Set invoices up for payment.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are made accurately and timely.
• Maintain vendor files.
• Assist with month end closing.
• Produce monthly reports.
• Assist with other accounting functions as required.
• Reconcile all Accounts Payable transactions.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries as required.
• Other data entry and additional projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
• Highly motivated, ability to work individually and as a team player/strong collaborator.
• Proven knowledge of Accounts Payable and GAAP.
• Experience in a restaurant/retail setting ideal.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in data entry.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
