Event and Program Coordinator

SPiN is seeking an Event and Program Coordinator to join our San Francisco team. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for executing events. We are looking for a candidate who is a strong project manager and is able to deliver on tight deadlines with past experience in event production and community engagement. This person will lead efforts to build exciting programming and events for the SPiN audience. In this role, they will execute our program strategy in collaboration with the operations and global marketing team.

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Event/Program coordinator is responsible for supporting the execution of SPiN?s event strategy, maximizing exposure for the brand and effectively acting as a liaison between the venue operations and global marketing team.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Own the coordination, scheduling and execution of all weekly programming happening in the venue, inclusive of Friday Night Players Night and Monday league nights, happy hours, instructional lessons, etc.
  • Help plan, promote and execute larger scale monthly events that align with the SPiN mission of bringing entertaining ping pong to the masses.
  • Work with Operations and Sales for the coordination of our off-site SPiN Out experience to execute external partnerships.
  • Pitch and conceptualize super localized event activations to support global marketing initiatives.
  • Source local partnerships/influencers to bring a diverse crowd into venue across different target demographics
  • Create social, web and email content for both base and corporate audience
  • Assist operations with securing alcohol and brand sponsorships
  • Organize all promotional material, inclusive of updating events calendar, refreshing WordPress website, submitting email and global social requests.
  • Track all programming utilizing internal reporting metrics
  • Create SOPs for operations with any specifics marketing/event initiative.
  • Work with the GM to manage event budgets to stay on track and under budget.
  • On-site event support during Fridays, Monday and occasional weekend activities.
  • Ideally 2-4 year of event-related experience – would consider recent college grad with relevant internship experience
  • Relevant event experience in hospitality, restaurant or entertainment industry.
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time in an organized and highly effective manner. Strong sense of urgency and an ability to problem solve are also critical.

  • Budget management skills
  • Strong skills in Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Google Docs and other user-friendly reporting systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that would include some weekends and late night shifts.
