Entry Level Microsoft Application Specialist

The IBM Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge is growing its Enterprise Applications team and has immediate opportunities for entry level and early professional, forward thinking candidates with a passion for growth and innovation.

IBM is seeking individuals that have a Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Human Resources or related degree and who are knowledgeable about business processes in related areas. Candidates with Oracle, Microsoft or SAP exposure are highly desired.

As a Microsoft Application Specialist you will develop your expertise in application areas such as MS Dynamics AX and MS Dynamics CRM and help our clients integrate enterprise-wide data for improved performance and efficiency. You will contribute right away to our top-tier clients in collaboration with exceptional people in a dynamic team environment. You will work hand and hand on projects that help our clients integrate strategy, process, technology, and information to increase effectiveness, reduce costs, promote accountability and optimize performance. You will also have an opportunity to build a powerful portfolio of interesting and rewarding experiences.

The Microsoft Application Specialist will be responsible for assisting on engagements, including implementations, upgrades, and extension of existing applications. In addition, you also be responsible for hands-on configuration of financial modules, as well as involvement in designing reports and testing.

The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge, LA center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday through Friday). The candidate is expected to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Basic knowledge in Business, Procurement, Human Resources, Customer Relations Management and Management Information Systems or related field

Basic knowledge in Oracle, SAP or Microsoft applications (Configurations, Implementations, etc)

Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications

English: Intermediate

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Human Resources, Information Systems or related degree

Minimum of 1 year experience in Business, Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Customer Relationship Management Human Resources , Management Information Systems or related field

Minimum of 1 year exposure to Oracle, SAP or Microsoft applications (Configurations, Implementations, etc)

Minimum of 1 year experience in Microsoft Office applications

English: Fluent
