Project Management – Coordinator 2

(10 positions located in Baton Rouge)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with individual project leaders to identify, document and coordinate project tasks and timelines.
  • Keep accurate records, create project plans, compile project status reports, and provide status deliverables to UNO management and LDH stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project plans and specific milestones with external entities (LDH contractors, other State Agencies, etc.) as needed to ensure the success of projects with non‐UNO/Medicaid dependencies.
  • Assist Medicaid staff in formulating a consistent approach in determining project requirements and scope.
  • Act as primary project status resource to Medicaid and UNO management.
  • Organize and maintain Medicaid project priorities’ documentation.
  • All project managers shall be certified as Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or Project Management professional (PMP) within six months of the effective date of this contract or within one year of the employee’s hire date, whichever is later.
  • Other tasks as directed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in managing projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
  • Ability to set, follow, and meet deadlines

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in managing projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server or Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience in presenting information to technical and non‐technical audiences.
  • Professional experience with LDH information systems or programs utilized by the department.
  • Professional experience in health care field, Medicaid eligibility or Medicaid program support.
  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP, PMI‐ACP, PMI‐RMP, PMI‐SP, OPM3 or other relevant industry certifications.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
