Job Description Summary

DevOps Engineer will be a key member of the Casualty DevOps Engineering team. You are responsible for timely delivery of quality outputs across multiple projects going on at the same time. You will manage issues and risks, and communicating deliverable status to project sponsors, internal or external customers, and upper/executive management. The DevOps Engineer is a member of the team responsible for establishing and implementing best practices for DevOps and initiatives for CCC’s Casualty organization. As a DevOps practitioner and trusted advisor with applied experience, the person in this role will participate and provide support for multiple programs that integrates people, processes, and tools to create reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions for our engineering teams


Job Duties

  • Planning and defining workflows for iterations, release management and issue tracking
  • Support Code development review, maintain source code management tools, and code merging support
  • Use continuous integration tools, maintain repository, automate Builds and provide build status
  • Use continuous Testing tools to provide quick and timely feedback on the quality of the software release and code
  • Collaborate on Releases and perform change management, release approvals, release automation (moving builds into a release artifact).
  • Perform Deployment services, incident management and response in a consultative manner.
  • Maintain DevOps Operational environments, automating and using infrastructure as code, ensures appropriate security and access levels to environment tools and resources.
  • Monitors and reports on application performance and identify issues or quality concerns that could impact end-users
  • Scheduling and participating the Decommission of environments and repurposing resources where necessary
  • Responsible for designing, building and delivering outputs, contributing to cross-functional activities, attending project meetings, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
  • Understanding the big picture and how the details must come together to produce results, Contribute thought leadership to the team
  • Work with internal resources and third parties/vendors to successfully execute projects
  • Ensure that all projects are managed to a successful and timely completion within budget as required by the contracts;
  • Contribute to the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
  • Help team achieve project goals while partnering with the Product Manager and Business Team to understand and deliver on overall business goals
  • Technical Experience with full SDLC on software, with Development, Quality Assurance and Release Management processes
  • Document application flows, create architecture and designs, and build knowledge repositories that become the “single source or truth”
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to present and future customer needs; this includes deriving requirements from customer interactions.

  • Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of industry architecture and engineering experience in technology, with at least 5 years in a DevOps role`
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous testing
  • Experience in a DevOps role focused on containerization, cloud computing
  • Experience with use of pipelines to support matching environments, automated deployment, pipelines, and version control efforts
  • Experience with monitoring and lifecycle management of systems, platforms and pipelines
  • Bachelor’s degree, Industry and technology relevant certifications a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across cross-functional teams and customers
  • Highly effective communication, time management and organization skills
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship currently or in the future
