As the DevOps Cloud Engineer , you will help optimize and automate cloud processes and services. You will provide advice on best practices and guide customers in developing and adopting cloud environments. Additionally, you will:

• Maintain and improve private and public cloud offerings
• Handle daily support requests from internal cloud customers
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues
• Participate in and contribute to cloud team projects
• Identify, optimize, and reduce wasted resources in cloud environments
• Work daily operational requests from a queue
• Provide support for cloud rollouts/maintenance as required
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging cloud products and technologies
• Work with various teams to create, update, and implement cloud designs, standards, and procedures
• Identify applications that do not meet standards and work with teams to refactor to standards
• Participate in various cloud audits and metric collection exercises
• Open and follow through on tickets with cloud providers
• Provide support of Linux in cloud environments

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

• More than 2 years of experience administering Linux servers
• Strong skills in at least one relevant scripting language: Ruby, Python, JavaScript
• Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) fundamentals, with more than one year of hands-on experience
• Experience with automation, containerization, and source control tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker

Great Additional Skills:

• AWS Certified Systems Architect (associate or better)
• VMware certification
• Red Hat certification
